It's Friday... it's Friday!

Hello! It's Friday and thus the end of a school week for us which is always something to get excited about in my house... Now, if only the kids know "to sleep in" during the weekends then it would be heavenly... How's the weather in your part of the world? The kids have been going to school while the temps are in the low 30s. But get this... we are happy because the sun shone today!!! (I haven't seen the sun really shine since our LA trip!) I mean our temperature hit the 60s today and to celebrate, we cruised over to the park behind Ryan's and Andrew's school after Ryan's dismissal today... Yeah, that's Ryan and Steven enjoying the little "train park".

What are y'all doing this weekend? We are staying in town and putting away Christmas decorations... The month of December went by fast, huh? Since we don't have families in Lincoln, we almost always end up traveling south so, that alone made it hectic for us... Of course, the stress from all the hustle and bustles of Christmas is not enough for me that I had to help in the kids' Santa's Workshop at school. Volunteer crafters make little items and the students got a chance to go Christmas shopping for their families. And some of the items selling at higher prices (maximum is $5 per item) were gorgeous... My biggest and most PROFITABLE contributions were the marble magnets... We made small and large magnets and it was a hit especially since it was priced between 25-50 cents a piece... Don't even ask how many I made, but my Mom was a great help cutting the magnet strips... Okay, we made close to 300 of the small ones and almost 200 of the larger magnets = 500 magnets! LOL! Crazy huh? Well, the whole reason I got to mentioning the Santa's workshop is because I wanted to show you the other stuff I sold... and I mean this stuff sold... I mean it SOLD OUT! Yipee! But now, I don't have any samples to show others :( Luckily, I took pictures... The first photo is of a clothespin photo holder. You stand it up on its "two feet" and clip the photo on the other end - voila! - photo or note or list holder for your desk. Okay, I know it's a hard concept to grasp so it's best to just show you the photo... and Shirl, I know yours is lame compared to what you see on the photo, so I made a new one for you :)

And the second "unique" item I made are these adorable PAPERCLIP bookmarks. You simply attach a decoration on one end of the paperclip and again, voila! You get a paperclip bookmark. On a sidenote, this was really more decorative than functional as the one I have, got stuck to my date book. I think it's probably because of the kind of glue I used. Oh well, looks matter anyway, right! :) And to those that got this with their Christmas cards (a few of my friends are papercrafters too), I hope you like it!

Lastly, this was a notecard set and as you can tell, I'm into owl and birds these days... Each set only cost me less than a dollar to make, I swear!

Well, have a nice and relaxing weekend. Everyone at home have been through bouts of illnesses mostly cold, cough and sore throat so I'm hoping "to sanitize" my house this weekend. Tah tah!
